Coach Core Foundation is a national charity that trains young people from disadvantaged backgrounds as sports coaches and helps them into paid work. It was established by the Royal Foundation in 2012.
In August 2026 BoxWise and Coach Core announced a national partnership. BoxWise introduces Coach Core to venues and employers across its network, takes on apprentices through Coach Core and runs joint sessions with Coach Core in priority regions.
“Sport has a unique ability to reach young people that other routes can't, and Boxwise's network gives us access to communities and young people who stand to gain the most from an apprenticeship.”
