Tusk funds conservation across Africa by backing effective local organisations. The Prince of Wales is its Royal Patron. Nick Maughan has been one of Tusk's most committed supporters for many years, and a trustee since 2021.

NMF sponsors the Tusk Wildlife Ranger Award and funds the Tusk Conservation Symposium in full. It sponsored the Tusk Lion Trail, matched public donations to Tusk through The Times Christmas Appeal, has supported the Tusk Ball and has held many fundraising events for Tusk, from New York to London.
