NMF is a dedicated supporter of Tusk, having donated over £1 million in support of its progressive conservation initiatives across Africa. The charity, of which Prince William is Royal Patron, has helped pioneer an impressive range of successful conservation projects across more than 20 countries. These initiatives have not only increased vital protection for more than forty different threatened species, but has also helped to alleviate poverty through sustainable development and education in rural communities.
Tusk has earned a reputation for providing a highly effective solution for funding wildlife conservation programmes by partnering with the most effective local organisations to accelerate progress and drive real change.
The Nick Maughan Family Foundation is proud to be a leading supporter of Tusk, helping the charity tackle poaching, habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict across the African continent.
To date, the Nick Maughan Family Foundation's support has included sponsoring Tusk’s annual Conservation Awards, which gives recognition to unsung conservation heroes of today and hopes to inspire the conservation leaders of tomorrow.
NMF is also proud to have sponsored the Tusk Lion Trail, an international street art exhibition that raised £1.1m for conservation projects and spread awareness of the threats facing lions today.
The Foundation also matched the donations made to Tusk through The Times newspaper’s 2020 Annual Christmas Appeal and sponsored the Tusk Symposium and Tusk Ball.
Nick Maughan is also a Trustee of Tusk.
