Charlie Miller Football Academy

The Nick Maughan Family Foundation is proud to support The Charlie Miller Football Academy.

Set up by former Rangers player Charlie Miller, the Academy is committed to developing the next generation of talent in Scottish football.

Support from the Nick Maughan Family Foundation has been used to organise the equipment, fees and insurance necessary to grow operations and offer the opportunity to as many children as possible. The academy also aims to bring together disadvantaged young people across Scotland to play football and develop their skills on and off the pitch through coaching and mentoring, which is in line with the Nick Maughan Family Foundation’s mission to support initiatives that benefit communities, the environment and education efforts across the globe.

In January 2022, the Nick Maughan Family Foundation also supported The Charlie Miller Football Academy Tournament, which brought together over 500 children from across Glasgow and the wider central belt of Scotland.

Charlie Miller has said on NMF’s support:

“Although we don’t receive much in funding from places like the Scottish Government or from established bodies like FIFA and UEFA, we’ve been lucky enough to get backing from the Nick Maughan Family Foundation (NMF), a charity dedicated to causes across education, the environment and the community throughout the UK. NMF is a big supporter of causes which use local, community-based solutions to tackle the most engrained social problems.”

The Nick Maughan Family Foundation has been established as a donor-advised fund (DAF) at NPT UK, a registered charity in England and Wales (charity number 1181128).
